Missing From Fresno or Porterville, California Since June 22, 2012 Please Help Find Ciana Lopez
A Porterville mother and Fresno father are praying for the safe return of their daughter. The parents are reaching out to the media and the public to help locate the teenager.
Ciana Lopez, age 15, was last seen at the Manchester Mall in Fresno at 3:30 p.m. June 22, 2012. She is 5’4” tall, weighs 115-120 pounds, has brown hair past her shoulders and brown eyes. She wears prescription contacts and glasses. She was last seen wearing dark gray sweats and a white top.
“I’m just trying to keep it together and think positive,” Diane Ramos said Thursday morning on the phone. “I just pray to God that she is OK.”
Lopez lives with her father, Richard Lopez, in Fresno, and also spends time with her mother in Porterville. Richard Lopez filed a missing person report with the Fresno Police Department and the department added her to the missing person’s database. Fresno PD public information officer Don Gross confirmed the department is looking into the teen’s whereabouts.
“We don’t suspect foul play but due to the case involving a juvenile we cannot release any additional details,” Gross said.
Friends have reported seeing Ciana Lopez on the westside of Porterville this week, Ramos said.
Ramos said Ciana Lopez called her from the Fresno mall on June 22. Ciana Lopez had a week remaining in both continuation summer school and community service.
“I told her to go to community service and she said she would, but she never showed up,” Ramos said, adding that like most teens she gets upset with her parents but that she has never runaway from home or done anything like this before. “I called her to see if she made it to community service but it went straight to voice mail.”
After subsequent attempts to call her were unsuccessful, Richard Lopez filed the missing person report. The parents are at a loss as to what happened.
“She is a very smart girl,” Richard Lopez said. “She was well aware that she only had this week left and she would be done with summer school and community service. She was so close to putting that behind her.
“I just don’t believe she is a runaway. She has never gone more than six hours without contacting someone.”
The family is offering a reward for her safe return. If anyone has information, contact Richard Lopez at (559) 355-6163, Diane Ramos at (559) 756-1738, or any law enforcement agency.
